Wednesday's Celebration

Dear Parents,

 

We are going to fasten our seatbelts and fly right through this week.  As our exciting Oregon Trail simulation begins, our students will live the lives of pioneers.  On WEDNESDAY we will have our end of the year celebration where we will enjoy Freshly Baked Cookies and Hot Cocoa while enjoying The Polar Express.  To add to the celebration I would like every student to bring a wrapped gift that either a boy or girl can enjoy.  As I read a story, the children will rotate the gifts and at the end of the story, the present they have in their hands is the one they keep. 

Iron Dragon

Students MUST bring their novel Iron Dragon Never Sleeps to school.  There is no reason for them not to bring it...

Ticket to Read

All Students should be logging in hours on Ticket to Read.  There are days when Ticket to Read supplements the home learning. However, students should use it for pleasure at their leisure.

Homeroom Change

Starting Wednesday. October 29, 2008 I will be picking up the AM students from the cafeteria.  This means that students are to report to the cafeteria and I will be picking them up. They no longer have to go with Ms. Lenita or Ms. Hernandez.
