Writing Assessment
* The writing assessment is Thursday, March 1, 2012.
* Students in grades 4, 7, and 10 will take a writing
assessment.
* Students' writing is scored by the Mississippi 7th
Grade Writing Assessment Rubric. Scores range from
0-4, with 4 being the highest. Students must score
least a 2 to pass the writing assessment.
* Students are given two writing prompts, but they
only choose one of the prompts for their writing
assessment.
* Prompts may be narrative, persuasive, or informative in mode.
