White Oak Elementary PTO meeting - 8/17/07 Welcome! Introduction of PTO Board Old Business: Teacher’s Lounge Make-over - Passed Pictures and Thank You cards. Financial Report – Balance on Hand out add $2700 for money market that we cashed in. Subtract from the balance $250 Insurance, $5500 Promethean Board, $4600 Dibles, and money for paper for Accelerated math. Cheryl Sanborn has not given us the bill. Dibles – Explained to the best of our knowledge. Will ask Patsy Davis to explain at next PTO meeting. Advised we need to pay fees per student each year. Approx. $14 per student. Promethean Board – Mrs. Marsh has the board in her room. The PTO wants to purchase two more boards from the money we make on Sally Foster. New Business: Sally Foster – Starts Aug. 23 – Sept. 12 – Delivery Oct. 16 – Our goal is to make profit of 15k. New Spirit Wear – Sale starts Aug.24 – Sept. 7 - November sale on Spirit Wear with hoodies and fleece pants. Friday’s are sprit wear day. Craft Fair & Santa workshop – Have vendors and Business partners rent booths to sell items. Have a Santa workshop for the children. They will have two craft choices for each of the following. Mom or grandmother, Dad or grandfather, brother, sister and pet. The children will make crafts while the parents shop at the craft fair. The crafts will come home wrapped. We will need a lot of volunteers. Honey baked Ham – Need chair person. Offer it for Thanksgiving & Easter. Scrip – earned $2700 last year, $5000 the year before. Need a person to chair. Possibly leave off local business. Yearbook – At Open house will have sign up sheet in each classroom for a classroom photographer. We will need one rep from each grade level. The Grade level rep will collect pictures from each classroom rep and then turn in to Kimberly Momberger. We will need two reps for 5th grade memory pages. ANNOUNCEMENT: Have Cheryl Sanborn announce what the PTO does and that everything is voted on at the PTO meeting. If you want a say in what the money is spent on attend the PTO meetings. Give a list of thing the school would not have if it weren’t for the PTO.
