Grading Procedures For Principles of Cosmetology

 

 

 

Homework= 10%

Co-incide with the theory chapter being covered.

 

Tests = 40%

Given upon completion of unit chapter.

Classwork/Practical Projects=40%

Given upon completion of a particular assignment or project.

 

Quizzes = 10%

Random to determine topic understanding

 

Semester Exam

Practical exam score and written exam score are averaged together and then divided by 2 to create exam grade.

 

 

 

 

 

Grading Procedures for Design Principles and Chemistry of Cosmetology

 

 

 

Homework = 10%

Co-incide with the theory chapter being covered.

 

Job Sheet = 20%

Weekly practical skills over competencies required for completion of program area.

 

Project Sheet = 40%

Nine weeks practical skills over various skills needed for cosmetology examination for licensure.

 

Test = 30%

Theory chapters tested on after completion of a unit of study.

 

Semester Exam

Practical exam score and written exam score are averaged together and then divided by 2 to create exam grade.

 

Make-up Work

 

A student is responsible for obtaining his/her make-up work for the time they were excused absent. A student has a day to make-up work for each day they are excused absent. If a student was present for the test review, but is absent on test day. It is their responsibility to make-up test the day they return excused to class. Any make-up work not completed in designated time frame will result in a '0' for that assignment.
