Tests and Due Dates
Usually, Mixed Practice Tests are given every Thursday. These are comprehensive of all material covered in class. However, this week is exam week, so there will not be a MPT.
- Expository Essay 3: Due Friday, March
- Chapter 25 test: Friday, March 2
- Term Exam (Nine Weeks' District Test 3.2):
- 1st-March 6
- 2nd - March 7
- 4th - March 8
- 5th - March 8
- Romeo and Juliet Unit Projects Due Friday, March 16
Plans for Week of March 5-9, 2012
This week we will focus on:
1- reading, discussing, and analyzing literature
2- understanding and correctly using standard English grammar
3- evaluation of the development of character and plot
4- identifying and analyzing themes in drama
5- communicate ideas to others
We will do this through:
*Notes and examples on the board
*Practice ACT questions on handouts to be kept with notes
*Literature - Romeo and Juliet
*planning, composing, and editing a written essay
