Parent Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Hello and welcome to 9th grade Math Foundations II at MCHS. I am very excited about working with you and your child! I know we will have a successful and productive school year.
Your child needs only a 3-ring binder, loose-leaf paper & lots of pencils! Please keep at least 1 box of pencils at home so that your child will always have enough. A calculator will be provided for them to use in class. I recommend that you buy a calculator (TI-30X IIS, a TI-30X IIB, or a TI-34 II) to keep at home. You can purchase these at Walmart for $15 to $20. You can help your child be successful as well:
- Read the “Classroom Policies" link on my webpage with your child and make sure they know what is expected of them in my class.
- Encourage your child to ask questions in class and come in for extra help when they need it. I am available before school, during lunch, and after school.
- Make sure you receive your child’s progress report. I give progress reports to all my students at the middle and end of each nine-week grading period, so please ask your child for their progress reports!
