Students will be given their vocabulary words for their story as well as their sight words on Mondays unless there is a holiday. Unfortunately I cannot post the vocabulary words for everyone but will have the sight words posted.

We are learning, discussing, and applying the concept of complete predicates in English. The complete predicate of a sentence is all of the words that show what the subject of the sentence is or is doing.

Due to the inclement weather and change in scheduling there will be no spelling words or contracts to turn in this week. We will resume normal routine next week.

Spelling will be graded as follows: The spelling test will be worth 50% of our students grade, contract will be worth 35% and the partner practice which takes place on most Thursdays will be 15% of the spelling grade.
Spelling Pretests will be given every Monday unless otherwise posted by the teacher. The students will get their pretest back on Mondays. Spelling tests are given every Friday unless it is a short week.
Spelling contracts are also due on Fridays before the test. Contracts are do every week unless the teacher says otherwise.
