How do I study for Spanish class?
Last updated July 8th, 2007 at midnight.
Besides taking notes, staying organized and reviewing for about 15-20 minutes everyday?
Here are some helpful hints to help you study effectively:
- Use flashcards! - Make a set of flashcards for every set of vocabulary with the Spanish word on one side and the English on the other. You can use them to review for every vocab. quiz. If you find that you have a bit of free time at the end of a class or while on the bus, pull out the flashcards! Reviewing them for 5 minutes a day will help you considerably. After you feel confident with a set of words, hand your cards to a friend or family member so that they can quiz you. It doesn't matter if they don't speak Spanish, because you need to study both meaning and spelling!
- Find yourself a study buddy! - Studying with someone who is also taking my class can be helpful because you can help each other through the homework or in practicing speaking sections. Your buddy need not be in the same class period as you and you can have more than one. Sometimes studying in a group can be helpful as long as you stay on task! The occasional pizza break is understandable though. ;)
- Hit the Links! - Have you tried the helpful links that I have here on my site? You can practice your grammar as well as get some different explanations on usage/formation.
