Grading
Assignments are graded on completion and attempt if it is turned in on time. An attempt means they have made an effort to follows the steps and examples that I have given them in class. All necessary work must be shown. If it is one day late it will be graded on accuracy with a 30 point deduction. After one day it will not be accepted unless it it done in Zero Lab and the highest grade possible is 50.
We will be working on Taks problems periodicaly between now and the test. Please encourage your child to do their best. Taks problems will be graded on accuracy.
Participation Grades:
Each student starts off the six weeks with a daily grade of 100 as a participation grade. 5 points will be deducted each time the student:
1. sleeps
2. doesn't have supplies
3. is a distraction to me or other students
4. is a discipline problem
5. does not participate by doing the warm-up, taking notes, or fails to utilize class time for assignment
