A Little Bit About Me

 I was born and raised in Highland, IL.  I went to Highland High School.  I graduated college from SIUE in 2005.  After college I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science at Albers Elementary School.  After two years I was given the wonderful opportunity to come and work here at Madison.  My first year here was great.  I am excited about the year ahead.  It will be a GREAT year!!!

 

My name is Steve Carey.  I am married to my wonderful wife Christina  .  I have a dog named Bert.  We have no children yet.  I enjoy bowling, slowpitch softball, and watching football.

One Hundred Years from now 
It will not matter 
what kind of car I drove, 
What kind of house I lived in, 
how much money was in my bank account 
nor what my clothes looked like. 
But the world may be a better place because 
I was important in the life of a child.
