More About the Bachman Family
This is my 13th year of teaching. I have taught 6th grade, 4th grade, 3rd grade, 2nd grade, 1st grade and now 4th and 5th grade math!! I'm so excited to be teaching at HCA and math is my favorite subject.
My husband and I have 4 children ~ three girls and a boy. Shannon is in 5th grade. Katelyn & Caleb (our twins) are in 3rd grade. Our youngest daughter, Zoe, is two.
Two of our daughters are the only Texans to suffer from a rare liver condition called Crigler-Najjar Syndrome (CNS). They have to sleep under special blue lights every night and get as much sunlight as possible during the day in order to survive. Because of their need for light, we call them our "Little Sunflowers". They will both be getting liver transplants to cure their CNS!
In 2004 we were on Good Morning America. Recently we were in the Pleasanton Newspaper, the San Antonio Newspaper, and on TV!!! We got to share our story on San Antonio Living with Leslie Bohl Jones. It was AWESOME!!!
Before we were on Good Morning America we were given a web site to help tell our daughters' story. You can check it out at www.KatelynsLight.com.
