Information about the 08-09 school year (mainly for interested parents)
I have finished working on the syllabi for all of my courses. If you are a parent of an Elementary schooler you have probably noticed that I have a semester long syllabus in Social Studies and only a quarter long syllabus in Science. When these become updated they will be replaced with the new syllabus and you will be e-mailed with details about the change of unit. The Physics syllabus will still have one or two more revisions since that course is not offered until second quarter but the basic layout and essential question will not change.
I wanted to share some information about myself to the new students and mainly parents. I worked in an office after I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Integrative Studies (my concentration is conservation education). This is my third year teaching and my second year at The New School. I have taught any age from 3 year old pre-schoolers to high school seniors. I have an enthusiasm and passion for what I do and I look forward to the 08-09 school year.
This year I will be attempting to put some assignments on schoolrack (web-sight links) for homework assignments.
