Article Analysis Assignment Schedule

Requirements:

• Place this handout at the front of the “Article Analysis” section of your folder.
 • Articles are due the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (unless noted or  if that Monday falls on a holiday. If it is a holiday, the assignment is due the next day
back).

       • You have 2 weeks to find an article to use, read often to find what you need.

       • Articles must be current – up to 2 months old.

       • Articles will not be accepted late and will be graded as incomplete zero.

       • You may use magazines, newspapers, or the internet.

You must attach the article to your article analysis (any assignment not turned in with attached article will receive a 70%)

 New Vocabulary Words: You may use the online dictionary: http://www.dictionary.com/

Choose 2-3 words from the article that are new to you.  Write the word, part of speech, syllabication, and then the definition of the word as it is used in the article.  For example:  

 newspaper - (noun) -  news * pa * per - A publication usually issued daily or weekly containing current news, editorials, feature articles, and usually advertising.

 Opinion - 3-5 sentences on why you chose this article, did you agree or disagree with the content, etc...
