Parent Letter

Dear Parent or Guardian,

My name is Chad Szablewski and I will be your child’s science teacher this year.  I am looking forward to working with your child and helping them to excel.  Most of the work is class work with projects.  There will be little homework, most of which will be preparations for tests and any finish work on projects.

 Academic Grades:

The 9 week average will consist of the following grades: daily class work, projects, quizzes, and tests.  All work carries the same weight and counts once.

 Supplies needed for class:

The following supplies are needed everyday for class.

Folder with BradsSpiral NotebookColored PencilsRed PenPencil Blue or Black PenRuler Wish List:

Kleenex, Germ-x, Clorox Wipes, Pledge, dust clothes, round tipped scissors, and glue sticks.

 Classroom Rules:
  1. Follow directions the first time they are given.
  2. Be in your assigned seat, quiet, and working on bellwork when bell rings.
  3. Show respect to all people and property.
  4. Talk at appropriate times and use appropriate language.
  5. Do not consume food, candy, or drinks without permission. (Water is allowed)
  6. Obey all School Rules

Violation of any class rules or school rules will result in disciplinary action.  There are a variety of disciplinary actions that can be imposed at any time such as, but not limited too, write-offs, detention, silent/isolated lunch.  I will follow the Maury County Discipline Policy.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child and hope we can learn together!
