Last updated May 3rd, 2012 at 12:12 p.m.The Cobb County website will provide you with information regarding school policy and general requiremments. Please go to www.cobbk12.org for any school or county specific questions.
In AP Language...
-
You will be reading requred text outside of class on a regular basis.
-
You will be writing for purpose every day of class.
-
You will have to master the art of time management.
A Gentle Reminder...
The days of 50 and 60 grades per semester are now gone. You are expected to complete work in and out of the classroom, but not every sheet of paper will receive a grade. Completing the preliminary work is preparation for the writing pieces, the summative tests, the EOCT, AP test, and the GHSWT. I cannot stress enough that the work you do to prepare you for these summative assessments is highly important. Motivation should not come from the grade at the top of a paper. It must come from the willingness to value your education.
Coming up...
EOCT: Even day: May 8th and 9th
Odd day: May 10th and 11th
AP Language Test: May 16th (Wednesday)
I will be the proctor for the May 14th and May 18th test. This means I will not be in the classroom.
Finals week will follow the completion of AP testing.
