Instructions: Please work on word recognition at this time. Students will need to read each word in the list.
Suggested learning methods include:
- Writing the words on index cards and having your child read them;
- Use letter magnets to spell the words out on a cookie sheet or the fridge;
- Highlight service words in newspapers and magazines.
Remember, make the learning experience fun and not a chore.
Incentive: Each student will start off with an ice cream cone. Once the above list is mastered, the student will receive a scoop of ice cream. Each mastered list will be rewarded with scoops, sprinkles, or cherries. Students who master all the lists will be rewarded with an ice cream party later in the year.
