Odds 'n Ends

Dear Parents,
In addition to students continuing to recite the Spanish prayers (The Glory Be and Hail Mary), there will be an assortment of "odds 'n ends" with respect to the children's curriculum over the next two weeks. Here is a snapshot of what children can expect:
Kindergarten - cutting out opposites cards/oral listening activity/matching game
First grade - Spanish alphabet song/oral and sight recognition
Second grade - review "Animals" buddy quiz/identifying opposites (11 in all)/compare and contrast using opposites
Third grade - conjugating "tener" and "ir" verbs
Students in grades 1-3 will take home a word search puzzle that should be completed although does not need to be returned unless the student wishes to receive a sticker. Students in third grade will receive back graded "mi familia" books on March 24th.
One final note. Please continue to review the Spanish prayers at home with your child daily. All children should be at the point where they are able to recognize both prayers. Third graders should also be just about able to recite both prayers without visual aids.
Yours truly,
Sra. Lewis
