What is Student Council?

About the MAMS Student Council

  • Do you want to make a difference this year?
  • Do you want school to be an even more fun and exciting place to be?
  • The Madison Accelerated Middle School Student Council plans and organizes events for middle school students.

Student Council is a form of student government at Madison Accelerated Middle School. We work with the Principal, Mr. Miller, staff, and students to voice concerns and to provide a variety of services and activities for the student body.

Each year, we sponsor and participate in a variety of of school activities such as selling concessions at games, running the school store, and acting as guides for parent/teacher conferences. We also plan and conduct Red Ribbon Week and the valentine's Dance.

Benefits of Participating

Students should consider this student organization because it helps to build character, leadership, decision making, organization skills and responsibility.

When & Where Does The Club Meet?

Meetings are held twice monthly in Mrs. Parr’s Wellness room. Students joining student council will be supervised by Mrs. Parr. You may talk to her if you have any questions.
