9/29 - 10/3

10/3 - Vocab Quiz & started La Misma Luna

10/2 - Vocab Quiz moved to tomorrow, Friday.  Today we covered dates, ages, and birthdays.

10/1 - Classroom practice - p. 48 Act. 7, p. 49 Act. 8 & 9, p. 50 Act. 11 (in spirals).
HW - study for quiz tomorrow.

9/30 - We went over the graded Chapter 1 tests.  TEST RETAKES ARE TOMORROW MORNING AT 8:00 A.M. IN THE CLASSROOM. We continued taking notes on adjective/noun agreement and did Activity 1 on p. 46.  HW - Complete handout and turn in tomorrow.  Vocabulary quiz, Thursday 10/2.

9/29 - Brief notes on adjectives, in-class adjective handout.  HW - Write Vocabulario I on p. 73 in the Vocabulario section of your spiral. Make sure you use the correct format (Spanish on one side, English all the way on the other).  Vocabulary quiz, Thursday 10/2.

9/23 - 9/26

9/26 - Speaking section and Destinos.  No HW for the weekend. 

9/25 - Prepare for speaking part of the test (tomorrow) 

9/24 - STUDY FOR TOMORROW'S TEST  - see topics below 
*don't forget that the speaking portion of the test (which is very minimal) will be done on Friday.

9/23 - Students orgainzed their mandatory spiral notebooks by dividing each one into three sections labeled: Apuntes (notes), Vocabulario, and Actividades.  We began working with the verb SER (p. 24).  HW: Activity 33, p. 25  *do in "actividades" section of spiral.

9/15 - 9/19

9/15 - Identifying subjects and verbs, subject pronouns.  HW: Students should make sure they have the ten subject pronouns memorized and can write them in the appropriate order.  See p. 14 for help.

9/16 - Dieciséis de septiembre!  Mexican Independence Day!  We did group work comparing the celebration of 9/16 with 7/4.  Each class created a collage of images representing the different celebrations/histories.

9/17 - Class conversation about yesterday's project.  Played classroom game using days of the week and months (chapter vocab).  HW: Textbook p. 21, Act. 27.

9/18 - In class review game for subject pronouns, days of the week, months, and seasons.  HW - Quiz tomorrow, students will be asked to write the 10 subject pronouns in the order we have learned them.  That is all that will be on the quiz.

9/19 - Covered how to tell time.  Did Activites 25 and 26 in class (p.20) and used BK Nelson website to practice listening.  HW: Bring a 1-subject spiral notebook on Tuesday.

9/8 - 9/12

9/8 - We did the following activities from the textbook in class: 2,3,6,20,21. Went over the procedure for writing out a vocabulary list that can be used as a study tool.
HW - Write out all the words and definitions in Vocabulario 1.

Quiz on Thursday over Vocabulario 1.

9/9 - Practice Vocabulario 1. Learn different study techniques.  Subject pronouns (p.14).
HW - Study for Thursday's quiz.  Use one or more of the techniques we talked about today.

9/10 - Today we did a variety of listening based activities that involved numbers, letters, and elements of basic conversation.  We also continued to talk about subject pronouns.  STUDY FOR TOMORROW'S QUIZ.

9/11 - After the quiz, we began to work with vocabulario 2 on p. 35.  Students should have this copied down by tomorrow (including days, months, and seasons on p. 21).

9/12 - Destinos.  No homework.
