Whats Going on this year?

Like every year, the students will be preparing for the ISAT. They will be taking Think Link tests and learning lessons, in the classrooms that will focus on the test. We like to get a good head start with practice and preparation. It is becoming easier to make preparation for such tests fun and rewarding. Teachers offer incentives throughout the year to students that are found working hard and who are seriously preparing for the test. Our school has been making gains every year, and we want to continue making gains.

Thanks for your support in preparing our students for the ISAT. Please continue to encourage your child to:
Pay attention in class
Get plenty of rest and sleep on school nights
Eat a healthy breakfast
Study! Study! Study!

Star Math and Star Reading
The students have already taken their star math and star reading test. Students are now beginning to read books and take quizzes when finished with each book.
My students are tracking their books on a chart in my classroom. Every time a student passes a reading quiz, they get a sticker on the chart. Incentives including pizza parties, ice cream parties, movie and popcorn, etc can be earned by reading books and passing quizzes.
