January-Fitness Testing
Students will begin class by stretching and exercising. Students will be introduced to new stretches and exercises.
Stretches: Neck Roll, Arm Extensions, Twister, Waist Bend, Toe Touch, Knee to Chest, Squats, Pirate Stretch, Floor Stretches, Butterfly
Exercises: Mountain Climb, Push Ups, Sit Ups, Chopping Wood, Toe Belly Back, Line Jump, Skip, Windmill, Circle Jump, Pirate Jumping Jacks
Form Running: Sprint, Backwards, Hop 3xs right/left/both, Karaoke, Skip, Crabcrawl, Bear Crawl, Picking up apples, Free, Sprint
Students will count by 2's, 5's and in spanish.
Students will be tested by using the following:
Pacer Test-18-29
Shuttle Run-Jan. 11-15
Push-ups-Jan. 4-7
Sit-ups-Jan. 4-7
Sit and Reach-11-15
All 5th Graders will be weighed and measured.
Students will record scores of fitness testing. Students will graph the scores. Students will compare this fitness test with the fitness test that will be given in May.
