Monday: Examine the steps of the Scientific Method.
Homework- Science Fair preparation.
Tuesday: Classwork- Complete a Scientific Method Lab.
Homework-Science Fair preparation.
Wednesday: Describe matter, volume, mass, weight, and inertia.
Homework- Workbook 18.1 and vocabulary 18.1
Thursday: Complete Chapter 18 Lab.
Homework- None
Friday: Describe physhical properties of matter.
Homework- Workbook 18.2 and vocabulary 18.2.
Science Fair participation is now done on a voluntary basis for each student as an extra credit project. This is the only extra credit project that will be offered during the 3rd nine weeks. The Science Fair project will be counted as one test grade worth up to 100 points. The due date is January 16, 2009. The project must include all parts of the scientific method. Topics need to be approved by me by no later than January 8, 2009. Students may use the library or internet resources to find a topic that he/she likes. The work must be grade appropriate and neatly completely. Participants will be judged on January 22 and awards will be presented on the evening of January 22 at the school cafetorium.
