Friday: Both classes: Quiz; work on math magazine or copying notes for Ch. 2
Monday: Alg. I: Workbook 1-7 all Pre-alg. 3rd period-study for property quiz; 4th period-wb p. 26; 6th period-ch 1 vocabulary finished ( give 30 minutes in class for this as I issued this class books.)
Tuesday: Alg. I: Workbook 1-8 all Pre-alg. 3rdperiod-workbook, page 26; 4th period-handout on scatter plots; 6th period-p. page 43 (14-20 all in composition book) (properties quiz was given in pre-algebra today and will be again tomorrow)
Wednesday: Alg. I: First period-picture took up whole hour, so no homework assigned and test will be Friday. Second period-Finish practice test at end of Ch. 1 Test tomorrow. Pre-alg.: Homework is to study for Ch 1 test 6th period-finish the Ch 1 Practice test on p. 51
Thursday: Chapter one test for Algebra I and for Pre-algebra Alg. I: 1st period-Do page 63 for homework (test tomorrow) 2nd period-Do page 67. Pre-alg.: Chapter 1 test today-all classes copied down p. 55 to do for homework. In class, they were to work on their math magazine (done only in class)
Friday: No homework - worked on enrichment or math magazine
Monday: Alg. I: Ch. 2-1 vocab/Key Con. boxes, then p. 71 20-56 even Pre-Alg.: Worksheet 2.1 all and write properties from the test (those missed). Due Wednesday so they can retake that portion of the test.
Tuesday: Alg. I Homework check done for grade. p. 76-77 18-56 even (do just like we did in class.) Pre-alg: We worked in adding integers with whiteboards. Homework: Copy rules from p. 64-65, and then do the other side of the worksheet from yesterday that has 2.2 Do homework like we did in class. Properties due Wed.
Wednesday: Alg. I Quiz today, HW is workbook Do 2-3 and 2-4, evens. Just put sign of the answer. Pre-Alg. 3rd get rules and properties DONE (or detention) to retake that part of ch 1 test. Quiz over adding integers/absolute value/ ordering numbers. 4th- No homework other than prepare for the quiz . 6th-get properties and rules copied to get ready for retest (detention if not done), finish p. 61 (77-89 all), and prepare for the quiz,
Thursday: Alg. I HW-p. 98-99 2-48 even Pre-Alg.: WB p. 11-12 1-16 on both. Just put the sign for the answer.
Friday: Weekly quiz today. No homework. Have a great weekend!!!
Monday: Alg. I: In workbook, do p. 14. Pre-alg.: In workbook, do p. 10. Do not put the answer, just rewrite it as an addition problem.
Tuesday: Homework check for grade was taken today in all classes. Alg. I: In workbook, do 2-6 lesson. Pre-alg.: For 3rd and 4th, do workbook page 13. For 6th, do p. 88; 14-40 even. Chapter 2 test for all classes is Friday.
Thursday: Alg. I: Chapter 2 test tomorrow. HW -p. 115 all. Pre-alg.: chapter 2 test tomorrow. Do p. 93 (all).
Friday: Chapter 2 test in all classes.
Monday: Alg. I: Thinklink tests both Tuesday and Wednesday. One is for math (TCAP) and the other is for algebra. Homework - workbook, lesson 3.1. Pre-alg. : Thinklink test is Tuesday. Homework - workbook, lesson 3.1
Tuesday: Alg. I: Thinklink test (math) was today. Homework that is due Thursday: p. 823, lessons 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4 evens. Put into composition book. Pre-alg.: Thinklink test was today. Homework is to prime factor 12 numbers that were written on the board that they were to copy down first thing today before they took the test.
Wednesday: Alg. I: See Tuesday. Pre-Alg Fix 3.1 in wb, do 1-10 on 3.2 in wb
Thursday: Alg I: 1st-none, 2nd-p. 127 model the 1-6. Pre-alg.: finish wb 3.2
Friday: No homework in any class.
Monday: Algebra I: P. 163, 14-41 even
Tuesday: Algebra I: p. 163, 43-45; p. 825, Lesson 3.2 1-10 and p. 826, Lesson 3.3 , 1-10 Pre-Alg.: copy problems from the board (combining like terms) 4th period pre-algebra also has math handbooks that they are to do p. 291 (all), 121 (even), and 125 (even)
Wednesday: Algebra I: p. 825, L3-2 (11-end) p. 826, L3-3 (11-end) Pre-Alg.: Copy problems from the board (more combining of like terms, and distributive property)
Thursday: Alg. I: Lesson 3-4, do 22-48 even Pre-alg: Worksheet over 3.1/3.2 We did the first column of both sides in class, so do the rest for homework.
Monday: Alg I: Workbook, 3.5 even Pre-alg: 3rd-prime factor 4th & 6th-list numbers that they are divisible by (10 problems from board 135, 120, 250,118, 378, 955, 5010, 4005, 684, and 10,523 Nine Weeks Test is Thursday.
Tuesday: Alg I: Read 3.6 and do 12-38 even on pp. 158-159 Pre-alg: 3rd period - do p. 638 1-12 all in math books that were taken home; 4th and 5th period - Find mean, median, mode, and range from problems on the board
Wednesday: All are to prepare for their nine weeks test.
Thursday: No new homework. Tomorrow will be make-up day for MANY!
Friday: We wrapped up the first quarter of the year. Have a GREAT Fall Break!!
