7th Grade Science EA Cox

Parent Letter 2011-12

Dear Parents or Guardian,

Welcome to 7th Grade Science. I m pleased to have your child for science this year and will strive to teach required curriculum and beyond in hopes that each student will develop an interest in the world of science as well as further develop his/her metacognitive skills potential. Most of our work is class work, labs and inquiry activities. Homework will consist of reflecting on the day’s lesson, studying for test, or completing unfinished class work. Therefore, it is very important that your child is present. Academic Grades: Your child’s nine-week grade will be compiled of the following types of grades: weekly IQ-inquiry grades, lab grades, projects, quizzes, and assessments.

Grades will be recorded periodically in their agenda as returned to students. Make Up Work: If a student is absent they have three days to schedule make up work. This can be done at home or in Advisory class.

They may call a study buddy to see what they missed or check schoolrack.com
