Plagiarism Guidelines
Plagiarism is a serious offense about which students and parents must be educated. In high school, students are now required to submit essays through a website that automatically checks for plagiarism. Students found guilty of plagiarism may be removed from the International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, and Advanced Placement programs.
All materials taken from a source that duplicates or approximates the wording used on that source must be placed in quotes or otherwise set aside as quoted material. Direct reference must be made to the source within the text or through the use of footnotes or endnotes. Failure to fulfill this requirement is plagiarism.
