Pre-Algebra
Welcome to an exciting year of mathematics!
We have immersed ourselves into the wonderful world of pre-algebra by learning about the tools for algebra and geometry. We have explored integers, solving equations, factors and fractions. Our current topic of study is rational numbers. A test over Chapter 5 has tentatively been scheduled for Tuesday, December 1st. We will continue having frequent quizzes to assess for mastery of material.
Students need to bring their math binders and supplies with them to class daily. (They have been given a text book to keep at home.) Taking good notes plays an important role in the students' mastery of material. To facilitate an understanding of the content being studied in class, I have attached (under "files") a very useful web address - it is a different text publisher than ours, but the content is similar.
