Lesson Plans: Math/ Science/ Writing Block Teacher: Mrs. Sadie Tiner Week:December 15-19 Monday: December 15th, 2008 Math Center: No Centers this week Math Review for District Test Homework: Mixed Practice Competency 2b - Determine the value of variables in equations; justify the process used to make the determination. DOK 2 Competency 2d - Explain the properties of the basic operations using models, numbers and variables: DOK 2 Competency 1d - Explain two or more methods of dividing four-digit dividends by one-and two digit divisors, with and without remainders, and justify the processes. DOK 2 Competency 1 L - Model and identify factors and multiples of whole numbers. DOK 1 Competency 5a - Draw, label, and interpret bar graphs, line graphs, and stem and leaf plots. 1) Find factors and multiples 2) Properties matching 3) Find the missing number in 1 input / output table. 4) Determine the variable in 1 equation. 5) bar graphs Science Center: Science Review for District Test Homework: Complete a section of review Writing Center: Santa’s Factory The kids will write 3 paragraphs. 1) Descriptive 2) Problem 3) Solution Santa’s Elves are very upset. Something has happened in the the toy factory. Computer Center: Differentiated Instruction (using a different library) Accelerated Math The students have a color-coded folder that contains a practice or a test. The practice is different for each student, but they may help each other if necessary. I scan or type their answers into the computer in the afternoons and print out their new practices or tests for the next day.
