Homework Policy
Last updated January 12th, 2010 at 7:28 a.m.Homework is vital to every single child. In order for your child to succeed to their best, it takes some help at home. In my class, the students get their homework folders every Monday and they are due back on Friday of that week. In the folder is a calendar for 4 weeks. It lists the spelling words, vocabulary words, and sight words for each week. Every night, your child should practice their spelling words. They should also study their sight words. A good way to do that is put the words on index cards and use them as flashcards. This should only take about 3 minutes. They should also study their vocabulary words. Your child should know the meaning of the word and how to use it in a sentence. In addition, they should study their math facts. In the back of the agenda are some great practice ideas. Plus, your child should read for 20 minutes every single night! This is not only homework, but this is a great way to spend time with your child!
