First Trimester 2010-2011
WE welcome another year in the ACCELERATED READING CLASS! WE are not only a READING CLASS, but an EXPLORATORY CLASS!!!
Our class goal is to continue to maintain our EXCEED levels on all forms of literacy testing! We also will explore the world of art in story form with the reading of novels and non fiction material and exploring related topic websites!
Each lesson of the day begins with an analogy. (An analogy is a relationship between words, symbols etc.) Continued practice of analogies strengthen logical and critical thinking skills. Participating in the analogy exercise is like being 'jumpstarted' for the skill/lesson of the day!
