Reading Focus

Learning to read is the most important thing that a person can do.  Reading opens doors and knowledge is power!

In the early elementary school years, children are learning to read.  By the end of third grade students transition from learning to read to reading to learn

Daily Homework should include reading for enjoyment for 20-30 minutes.  Reading can be done together with families members, children need to see their role models reading with them.  The title of the book should be written in the agenda and parents should sign the agenda daily. 

Math Focus

Students should be able to recall basic math facts...

  • 1st grade addition
  • 2nd grade subtraction
  • 3rd grade multiplicaiton
  • 4th grade division

Keep math flash cards in the car to practice while driving!
