INFORMATION ABOUT THIS COURSE

GENERAL INFORMATION

Algebra 2 is a college preparatory course that is required for graduation for students on the University Path.  It is an elective course for students on the Technical Path.  Students must have a credit in Algebra 1 in order to take Algebra 2, which continues and extends the topics covered in Algebra 1.

HOMEWORK

Homework is assigned every day except on days when tests are scheduled.  All homework assignments will be posted on this web site on the same day that the assignment is made.

TESTS

There will usually be 6 tests during a 9-weeks grading period.  Tests will be announced in class several days in advance and will be posted on this web site on the day before the test.  All tests will be returned to students on the day following the test.

GRADES

Grades for each 9-weeks period will be determined based upon homework and tests.  The homework grade will count for 20% and test grades will count for 80% of the final average.

MAKEUP WORK

Students who are absent are expected to make up all homework and tests they miss.  One day of makeup time is given for each day absent.
