ABOUT ME.......Ms. Chatman
I have been teaching for six years now at Jeff Davis Elementary. It's been a wonderful experience (my second family). I have an Associate's degree in Human Services from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; as well as a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I believe that education is a learning experience for everyone involved, parents, teachers, and students. If we work together the end result will be academic achievement for student success.

EXPECTATIONS........SUCCESS IS OUR GOAL!
CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:
students are expected to come prepared each day
students must actively particpate in learning
students should complete ALL class assignments
students must complete all HOMEWORK
AR...ACCELERATED READING EXPECTATIONS:
- students are expected to test on AR books daily
- students should read at 90% avg correct to achieve passing status
- students should be 50% of AR goal by Progress Report
- students should read nightly as a part of the Homework expectation
HOMEWORK EXPECTATIONS:
- please complete front and back of assignment
- promptly return assignment the very next day
- review homework with your parents

TUTORING OPPORTUNITIES:
- Before school Tutorial is provided at Jeff Davis Elementary School every morning from 7:00A.M.-8:00A.M. Please start your child's day off to a great education!
- After school Tutorial is provided at Jeff Davis Elementary every afternoon from 4:00P.M.-5:30P.M. Please inquire with your child's teacher and the office to arrange transporation so that your child can attend!
