Hello,

     My name is Patti Thompson I graduated from Belhaven College in Jackson Mississippi in 1992.  I began my teaching career in Thomaston, Georgia in 1993.  My family moved to Laurel, Mississippi in 1994 where I taught at Mason Elementary for one year.  My family then moved to Gulfport in 1995 due to my husband's job. I taught at Anniston Avenue Elementary from 1995  until our school district went to the middle school concept.  I was transfered to Bayou View Middle School where I taught sixth grade math from 1997 until December of 2006.  I attended the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Masters of  Education in 1997. 

 It is my educational philosophy that education is a partnership. I believe it takes three components to make a successful student; the student, the teacher,  and the parents.  When any one of these components is missing the student's education is compromised.

     If you have ever been in my classroom you would see that "dogs" are my love. We have three Maltesse that live with us.

I have been married to my husband for 29 years. We are proud parents of two adult daughters . We also have two grandchildren, a grandson and a granddaughter.
