About Capt Prep
Capt Prep is a required course designed to provide 10thgrade students with the specific skills and competencies needed to pass the reading and writing portions on the CAPT exam. This is a support class which will focus on differentiated instruction and strategies for all types of learners and learning styles. This year we will focus on reading and responding to high interest novels for teens. All of the Capt skills and strategies will be embedded within each lesson.
This course will also collaborate with the English Dept. and help students achieve in this subject as well as on the CAPT exam.Students are graded on a daily basis, their scores are then included in their academic English class.
