Math
A Math log will be sent home weekly. There are just a couple of problems that will need to be completed at home Monday thru Thursday. Feel free to complete the entire log in one night but I will only be checking what was expected from the night before. On Friday the log will be taken up and saved. I will hand them back at the end of the quarter so that you and your child can use them to study.
Reading
On the back of your child's behavior log is a reading log. Your child is expected to read at least 15 minutes each night. If for some reason you are not able to sign their log I will except them just writing in the title. As long as it is not a continuous thing. Please check out the Brain Booster section for comprehension questions that you can ask your child each night. Also, look under the reading strategy sections to give you specific strategies to use with your struggling reader.
Other Homework
Throughout the year we will be implementing different kinds of homework. Please keep an eye out for this.
