Literacy and Math
At Harris Accelerated Elementary School, we strive to provide the best education for your child. We feel the best way to do this is to provide many engaging and interesting lessons. Students continue to make progress and we are extremely excited about all of their successes.
Students are excelling because of the many learning opportunities they receive. Students are working on literacy throughout the day. Students incorporate literacy skills such as reading, comprehension, fluency, and writing throughout the day in all subject areas. Technology is incorporated in all subject areas also. These opportunities are keeping our students actively engaged throughout the day.
Harris Accelerated Elementary School is a team. Many people work together to help students meet their potential. These people are as important as your child's classroom teacher because we are all working together. These wonderful team members are Terri Leleniewski (paraprofessional), Inez Brock (paraprofessional), Tabitha Romious (paraprofessional), Johnna Wells (Physical Education Teacher), Kathy Gallagher (Music Teacher), and Jeanette Gates (Media Specialist). In addition, Jessica Talbert is the Reading Coach and works with all grade levels.
