Rules and Expectations

We are spending a lot of time reviewing rules and expectations.  I have listed our class rules below.  Please continue to speak to your child at home about school expectations.

Positive Behavior Incentives

  • Every child who has been on green all week will be allowed to choose a special reward out of my treasure box.
  • When students are caught being good or complimented by another adult, they receive marbles in the marble jar.  When the marble jar is full, they may vote on a class reward.
  • Students are also given treats or stickers periodically when they are caught doing a good job.
  • Students who have been changed to yellow have an opportunity each day to earn their way back to green if they improve their behavior.

Homework

Students will be assigned homework every night except Friday.  Please provide a quiet place where your child can study, and any assistance they may need.  Students should also be reading every night for at least 15 minutes.

Also, be sure to check your child's folder each night for notes from the teacher or the office.  On the back of their folder is a behavior chart and calendar.  This needs to be checked and initialed each night.  Thanks again for your support!
