About Mrs. Shires - (please see the pictures under the files tab)
Hi! I am Laurie Shires, a 7th grade English language arts teacher at North East Middle School. This is my 8th year teaching. I previously taught 6th grade at NEMS and St Lucie West, in Florida. I also taught 6th and 7th grade at Elkton Middle School for one year.
I have a 6-year-old daughter, and two step children. I was recently married in December, and my new name is Mrs. Laurie Shires. I also have a jack-daschund mix dog by the name of Woody.
As far as my teaching credentials, I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Level Education from Wilmington University, and a Masters of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College.
