Bio

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas (Go Spurs!). After graduating from Alamo Heights High School in 1988, I attended the University of North Texas. I earned my Bachelor's degree in 1993 and spent the next four years teaching Kindergarten in a rural Texas town. I moved back to the San Antonio area in 1997 and taught fourth grade in Schertz, Texas for two years. In 1999 I moved to the Austin area and have been teaching fourth grade at Timmerman ever since.

My oldest daughter is in second grade at Timmerman. She has been with me at T.E.S. since she was three years old and in the Pegasus program. I could not be happier to have her with me, and I am so thrilled to have her in such a wonderful school. My youngest daughter is now 16 months old. She is being cared for by a loving former Timmerman parent.

In addition to our "human" children, we have a very spoiled and very humal-like dog named Koda. She is a Catahoula with leopard spots and piercing blue eyes. The kids are quite attached to her. In fact, the baby's second word was "doggie." "Mama" was, of course, the first official one!
