What Can You do to help?

Many parents ask what they can do to help bring up their child's grades.  While each child has different needs, there are some things everyone can do to help.

* Go to : http://www.pflugervilleisd.net/dept/curriculum/parents/Parent_Tips.pdf

*  Review all assignments in the Wednesday folder and work through missed problems with your child.  This is a very important learning tool and also helps on  future assignments.

* Read over notes (with your child) that I write to  them on  graded papers.

* Discuss ways to give more information in written responses.

* See if there is a certain type of problem your child is having difficulty with and provide extra support in that area.

* Ask your child to summarize what they are reading to you.

* Help your child learn to read directions and understand what the directions are asking them to do.

* Encourage your child to look over work before turning it in.  Many times simple problems are missed due to a careless mistake.

* Encourage your child to ask for  help! Smile
