Words we are working on
We are working on learning to read our color words and the words like, is and and . You can practice the color words by reading the color books your child brings home, reading other color books from the library or ones you have (I bet most of you have "Brown Bear, Brown Bear"), and even looking at their crayons and markers and finding the color words on those. Practicing the other words just involves pointing them out in a story as you read it or on a sign as you drive by or in a letter. We don't need you to drill them on these words but for them to learn to recognize them and look for them all around them is very helpful.
