A Little Bit About Mrs. J.
Hello and welcome back to another school year. My name is Mrs. Jurczak and I am your child's Language Arts teacher on the 7A Storm.
Let me tell you about who I am. I have been teaching at Heritage for 11 years and I received my Bachelors degree in American Studies from Dominican University. I have my Masters Degree in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University and I am a certified Reading Specialist in the state of Illinois.
My family consists of my husband Tom to whom I have been married for almost 21 years; my sons: Michael (who is 30 years old and lives in Texas), Justin (a freshman at DePaul University) and Nicholas (a freshman at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York ). Oh yes, I forgot about another member of my family, my long-haired chihuahua Tessie.
I love to read, cook, garden and follow several Chicago sports teams: WhiteSox, Blackhawks, and of course 'da Bears! I also love teaching. I knew from an early age that I would be a teacher although I did not start out my adult career as a teacher. I began in the business world. So, this is a second career for me and a worthwhile switch.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached at (708) 749-6110 ex.4842 or through email: pjurczak@bsd100.org.
WELCOME BACK!
