A Little Bit About Mrs. J.
This is my 11th year of teaching (my 10th year at Heritage Middle School.) I have been married to my husband, Tom, for 20 years (this year in November is our anniversary.) I have twin boys: Justin and Nicholas, who are Seniors this year at Oak Park River Forest High School. My oldest son Michael is an adult with a five-year old daughter, Jordan.
I am a certified Reading Specialist with the State of Illinois and I love to read and write!
I am a huge White Sox, Blackhawks, and OPRF Huskies fan. In my spare time, I like to read (of course), cook, work in my garden, and watch old movies (I mean "old").
I feel strongly that students not only need to be prepared for their academic future (high school, college) but also for life. I try to include life lessons for my students that they can carry with them into adulthood.
