Stock Market Game

Lial Catholic School will be joining the Blade's School Stock Contest.  We will have three teams of Middle School students.  Each team will choose four listed common stocks from the major U.S. stock exchanges.  Each stock must have a starting value of $3 a share.  The hypothetical start value of $40,000 per team is allocated evenly amoung the four chosen stocks.  The entries must be submitted before 5 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2010.  The contest ends on Friday, April 30, 2010.  The team portfolio with the highest dollar amount will win.  PRIZES: First place winners will receive $250 for the students and $250 for the school.  Second place will receive $250 for the school, and third place gets $100 for the school.  This contest is underwritten by Fifth Third Bank.
