Howdy!

Cool Welcome to Mrs. J's Home Page Cool

Howdy everybody! My name is Mrs. Johnson, and I teach English IV, Dual Credit English III (1301 & 1302), and Dual Credit English IV (1301, 1302, 2322, &2323). Teaching is my life's joy, especially, since I come from a family of teachers! My mom once told me that the day we stop learning is the day we stop living, and it has become a motto of mine.  Learning is what makes this crazy, old world go round!  This doesn't mean that learning has to be dull or boring.  We try to have fun while learning, but learning is always my priority. I look forward to having a great year with each of you!

My back ground

I'm originally from Port Neches, TX.  We were the PN-G Indians, and I will always have a special place in my heart for purple and white.  I graduated from there and left for College Station, TX.  I am a proud member of the Fightin' Texas A&M class of '03.  I graduated with my BA in English and my teacher certification.  I, then, left College Station for Houston.  While I began my teaching career, I, also, began graduate school.  I proudly taught at Clear Lake High School and graduated from UHCL with my MA in Literature.  I married my husband in 2007 and moved to Live Oak County.  I gave birth to my son, Ethan, in October of 2008 and my daughter, Darby, in April 2011. I now proudly bleed blue and white, and I am excited to be a part of the George West faculty.
