Day 1
Students will identify color, line and shape in the human made environment.
Students will identify patterns in clothing worn in every day life. Students will create a pattern that could be used in clothing.
Day 2
Students will identify the weaving process and understand that weaving is a process of moving threads, yarns of other material over and under to create a design. Student will use needle and yarn to create a pattern in fiber art.
Day 3
Students will identify pattern and discuss the use of pattern discussed in previous lessons.
Students will use textiles (yarn and scrapes of material to create an original textile work of art.
Day 4
Students will identify lines, shapes and colors that repeat and have a rhythm.
Students will use fiber scraps and create a fiber collage.
Day 5
Students will understand that patterns can be used to show texture. Students will create a texture rubbing and identify important details about visual texture.
Grade 1
Day 1

Students will do a work of a revise weaving process. Using a needle and yarn students will create a reverse weaving.
Day 3
Students will identify patterns used in weaving and fiber art.
Students will create an original fiber weaving using yarn and burlap.
Day 4
Students will identify line, shape and color that repeat to create a rhythm. Students will use fiber scraps to create a collage.
Day 5
Students will finish all weaving and fiber art design projects.
Grade 4
Day 1
Students will go to Computer lab to study using Arts Rage.
Day 2
Students will be introduced to unit vocabulary and copy study notes.
Students will understand that weaving is a process of moving threads, yarn or other materials oven and under each other to create a design ire fabric. Students will begin a weaving project.
Day 3
Students will review vocabulary and begin a weaving. Students will create a reverse weaving using burlap and yarn.
Day 4
Students will continue the weaving work of art started yesterday.
Day 5
Students will be assessed over vocabulary and the weaving process, using multiple choices and an open response question.
Grade 5
