Compass Odyssey is an online instructional tool that you will be using throughout the year.  Sometimes you will do work on Odyssey for extra credit or for homework.  Other times, if you ever need to retake a test because you earned a D or less you will have to complete an Odyssey assignment before you will be allowed to retake it.

Below are the links for accessing odyssey at home and also a link for accessing it at school. Also, to log on to Odyssey your username and password are the same ones you use to sign on to the computers at school.

This year your password has changed.  Now it is Uppercase first letter of first name + Birth day + Lower case letter of last name + last 4 number of student social security number

Example: Matthew Peterson, November 1st, 423 67 9805

My password would be M01p9805

To access at home go to the following website https://odyssey.duvalschools.org/  If you do not see a number in the rocket ship then you are at the wrong site.

To access at school simply type the word "odyssey" in the address bar WITHOUT www or .com or .org; SIMPLY TYPE THE WORD AND THEN HIT ENTER

Throughout the course you will be completing gizmos for extra credit and homework.  I will be giving you instructions on how to access this site and use it within the first few weeks of school. 

 If you do forget the website, however, it is http://www.explorelearning.com/

Please remember, you can also complete gizmos that I have not assigned to you by seraching for them through the site.  This is a great tool for practicing concepts you are having difficulties with.

Feel free to use the hotmath website to help you check your homework answers.  Let me CAUTION you though not to use the website to simply copy down the answers.  If you do not understand the homework problem and want to copy down the answer that is fine, but please make a note next to that problem so you may ask me in class the next day how to solve. 

The problems you see on your homework assignments will be likely to show up on your test at the end of a chapter or unit, so it is important that you do not just simply copy down an answer and forget to ask me about it the next day.

When you go to the site you can look at the left hand side of the window and click on your subject to find your book.  Please note that all of the questions from your homework will not be on this site, but the majority of them will.
