For the next few weeks I will not be having any gizmos for extra credit. I will still be offering extra credit, however, but it will be through Compass Odyssey. If you complete this assignment it will be worth 1 whole point added on to the end of your grade at the end of the quarter. I will explain now how to earn these points, but I will also explain in class on Monday the procedure for completing this.

First off you must be able to access compass odyssey at home or school, some people have been having troubles with this, but I have found that the majority who cannot access Odyssey at home is because they are using the wrong website. To access at home go to the following website https://odyssey.duvalschools.org/ If you do not see a number in the rocket ship then you are at the wrong site. Your username and password are the same that you use here at school to get on the computers.

Now once you are in Odyssey you need to click on the “Math” folder (usually my Algebra students will click on the Algebra folder, but this time the extra credit assignment is in the “Math” folder). Then click on “FCAT Prep Number Sense”. At this time a diagnostic test will pull up with around 28 questions to answer. Take the test to the best of your ability. After you finish the test the Odyssey program will then set up certain activities/folders for you to complete. Once you have completed all the activities/folders assigned to you after the test you will be done with the assignment and will have earned 1 extra credit point.

You have until 2:40 on Nov. 30th to finish the assignments.

If you have any questions please ask me. I suggest that if you are interested in the extra credit to start sooner rather than the night before it’s due, because I doubt you will be able to finish it in one night.
