What's In a Grade?

Grades in Lit. Studies are based on total points earned out of total points possible.  Each assignment, quiz, test, AR points, or in class work is given a point value.  Student grades are based off of how many points they earn.

AR Points

Because independent reading is essential to improve ones reading ability, each quarter students need to earn AR points.  These points can be earned by reading a book independently and then taking a quiz for the book or writing a summary of the book.

AR Points are a significant grade for Lit. Studies class.
