Personal Background
This will be my sixth year as a middle school math teacher, and my fourth year here at Heritage Middle School. Prior to teaching at Heritage, I spent my first two years of teaching in Melrose Park as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher. Teaching math is what I love to do! I believe that every student can succeed in math as long as they try. My goal this year is for every student to feel confident in learning math.
I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and am the youngest of two children. My older brother and his wife recently had a baby boy, so I am an extremely pround aunt! I went to college at Michigan State University, where I recieved a degree in elementary education, with an endorsement in middle school mathematics. Upon graduation, I moved to Chicago and have loved every moment of city life.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family, enjoying all that Chicago has to offer.
