8th Grade Social Studies and Science

During 8th Grade Social Studies, students are asked to learn about many different topics. Some of them are: Ancient China, Ancient Africa, Economics, Geography Skills, African-American History, Immigration, Holocaust and World War II and the United States and Illinois Constitutions.
In 8th Grade Science, students study a variety of topics. Some of them are: brain science, the metric system, the periodic table, astronomy, conservationism, the scientific method, lab work with experiments and more.
I have told all the students in the 8th grade if they have a magazine, book, article, video, or anything pertaining to the above topics that they should bring them into class to share. If we use them in class or a student wishes to teach the class on what they have to share, I will reward them with extra credit in my class.
